William (Bill) Harrington, class '59

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of William (Bill) Harrington (class '59), brother of Stewart (class '61) and Pat (class '68).

HARRINGTON, William (Bill), late of Rathfarnham and formerly Terenure, passed away peacefully on the 25th May 2020, after a short series of illnesses, bravely borne. Beloved husband of the late Joan, loving father to Sinéad, Pat and Stuart and cherished grandfather of Dylan. Pre-deceased by his brother Damien; he will be very sadly missed by his children, their partners Paul and Sally, grandson, brothers Stewart and Pat, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, his cousins, nieces, nephews and all his extended family, neighbours and friends.

A private funeral will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave your personal message in the "Condolences" section below. Bills family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital for all the excellent care and support they gave Bill and his family over the past 5 months.
