Tom who hailed from Westport was well known not only to past men of the 50's, but to all past men and travellers who availed of his legendary hospitality in Carrick-on-Shannon, be that in the Bush Hotel, Hollywell Country House or the Oarsman Bar & Restaurant. Boating enthusiasts on the River Shannon will also remember Tom fondly, for many of the amenities they currently enjoy, were delivered by Tom in his role as Chair of the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland.
The Union would like to extend the heartfelt sympathies of all Past men to his wife Rosaleen, Daughter Claire, Sons, Conor, Ronan and Tom.
Requiescat in Pace.
