Philip Murphy, class '60

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Philip Murphy (class '60), son of the late Michael (class '31), brother of the late Richard (class '65), Michael (class '58), Gerry (class '71) and Johnny (class '70).

Died peacefully at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, Kilkenny, on Wednesday 23rd of December, his passing is deeply regretted and Philip is sadly missed by his wife Evelyn, son Ken and daughter-in-law Grainne, His brothers Mike, Gerry, Johnny, the late Richard, and sisters Siobhan, Margaret and Trudy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and all his close friends.

In accordance with current Government/HSE guidelines, a private Requiem Mass for Philip will take place in the New Year, cremation will take place on Tuesday 29th of December.
