Michael McDermott, class '70

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michael McDermott (class '70), son of the late Dermot (class '40) and brother of Peter (class '69) and Declan (class '71).

McDermott, Michael (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and late of Donaghmore, Co. Down), August 19, 2019, peacefully at the Blackrock Clinic. Beloved and loving husband of Emer (née Egan) and father of Hugh and Conor. Deeply regretted by his brothers Peter and Frank, his sisters Moya and Fiona, daughter-in-law Lydia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and Ted.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday (21st August) from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Removal on Thursday (22nd August) morning to Church of St. John the Baptist, Blackrock, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am. Burial afterwards at Kilternan Cemetery Park. Family flowers only please.
