Joseph N. Quinn, class '53

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Joseph N. Quinn, class '53. Son of James Quinn who was J.C.T. winning captain 1923-24 and brother of Oliver (class '56), Brian (class '54) and Peter Quinn (class '65). Father of Jimmy (class '78) and Bernard (class '82).

Joe (Joseph Noel) Quinn, Ballagan, Greenore, Co Louth. Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. 11th December 2018. Joe eldest son of the late James and Irene Quinn, beloved husband of Therese née Rowan, wonderful father to Jimmy, Jackie, Michele, Bernard and Irene (USA), much loved by his daughters-in-law Clare and Wendy, son-in-law Rick Damico, his grandchildren Rowan, Ellen, Joseph, Molly, Richard, Louis and Leah Molly. Deeply regretted by his sister Miriam Stanley, brothers Brian, Oliver and Peter, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, his wonderful supportive carers, HSE staff, neighbours, the farming community and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his home (A91 X584), from 4pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Boher, arriving for Mass at 11.0’Clock. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.
