The Union was saddened to hear of the passing of Joseph Clarke, class of '39.
The death has occurred of Joseph CLARKE
late of Donnybrook, Dublin

CLARKE, (late of Donnybrook, Dublin) - May 8, 2015, in his 96th year, at Asgard Nursing Home, Arklow, Joseph, uncle to Anne, Sean, Derry and Joey Clarke and Darragh, Colin, Declan and Ciar Mida Brennan; especially missed by Ciar, Laoise, David and Caoimhe and those closest to him including Lily McKenna, Greg and all his wonderful neighbours. Much thanks to all at the Asgard Nursing Home for all the love and care shown to Joe during his stay with them. His body has been donated to medical science at his request. |

Joe was one of two brothers with us in the 30's alongside Dermot 1930-34. He never married but Joe's Knock connection lived on through his nephews; Sean, class '69 and the Brennan brothers from Arklow - Darragh class '59, Colin class '61 and Declan class '65.
Aged 95 at time of passing, Joe was one of our last living past men from the 30's. We extend our sympathies to the wider Clarke and Brennan families.
