George Boyd, class '55

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of George Boyd, class '55.

BOYD - GEORGE, Woodlands Drive, Birr, Co. Offaly, January 20th 2018, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of Ealga Lodge Nursing Home, Shinrone. Predeceased by his wife Monica, he will be sadly missed by his loving sons Stephen and Derek, daughters-in-law Mary and Anna, grandchildren Bronwyn, Aisling, Cliona, Camryn, Macdara and Lily, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Boyd's Funeral Home, Birr on Sunday from 3'oc. with Removal at 5.45'oc. to arrive at St. Brendan's Church, Birr at 6.30 'oc. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11'oc., followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Alzheimer’s Day Care Centre, Birr.
