Edward (Eddie) Farrell, class of '64

The Union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Edward (Eddie) Farrell, (class '64), father of recent Union President, Patrick, class '93.

The death has taken place of Edward (Eddie) Farrell, The Close, Castletownroche, who passed away peacefully on June 6th 2023, beloved husband and best friend of Margot (nee Murphy), adored father of Elaine, Jill and Patrick and son of the late Paddy and Nellie. Sadly missed by his loving wife, family, son-in-law Patrick Kennedy, daughter-in-law Louise (Manley), grandchildren Emily, Sophie and Max, sisters-in-law Sr. Maria Goretti and Sr. Rose, life-long friend Mary Flynn, many cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Lying in repose at his residence (P51 KF90) on Friday (June 9th) from 6pm to 9pm, with Prayers at 8.30pm.

Reception into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castletownroche on Saturday (June 10th) for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Funeral afterwards to Ballyhooly New Cemetery.
