Rory Doherty, '99 - Castleknock 5K

Started in memory of Rory Doherty, class '99, the Castleknock5k is now embraced by all in the local and wider community.

The fourth annual run took place last Sunday and as ever the course ambled through the Phoenix Park and finished in the grounds of SVC. The sun shone and smiles were the order of the day for the 710 who ran or walked the 5k and the many more who turned out to support.

Within that number we spotted a fair few pastmen - well done lads, especially John Coghlan, '07, who came in first place with a time of 00:15:34. That's back to back wins for John as was also 2016 Champion.

Rory would be well amused at all this running around in his name... We'll aim to get 99 pastmen out to do him proud next year.
