Keogh Cup 2010 Champion
Colin Duffy, class '87
Castleknock College Union's Summer Golf Outing was held in glorious sunshine on Friday 21st May in the newly revamped Milltown Golf Club. There was an excellent turnout of over 55 golfers including a number of guests as well as additional people who attended the dinner afterwards. The course was in excellent condition and the new water features and reshaped greens were a true test for most of the golfers who participated. We all enjoyed a lovely meal and, as always, were very well looked after by the staff in Milltown. We were also honored to be joined by the current Captain of Milltown GC, Brian Hendrick, who showed he certainly knows his way around the course by winning the visitors prize!
Colin Duffy, with a great score of 40 points, got a noisy reception when he was announced as winner - he has already committed to defending his trophy in 2011.
All in all, it was a very successful day and we are already looking forward to our return visit in 2011!
Out thanks again to Cormac Nagle who did his usual great job in organising the outing.
