SUMMER OUTING, JUNE 13TH, MILLTOWN GOLF CLUB

The summer Golf Outing took place on Monday 13th June in Milltown Golf Club. Once again we were blessed with good weather and the 50 or so participants had a very successful day.

The winner of the President's Prize was Dr. John Peters (class of 1980) whose brother Adrian (class of 1979) was also among the prize winners. The President's Prize in addition to the beautiful cup was a voucher for a four ball at Carton House. Cormac Byrne (class of 1954) came second and Barry Walsh (class of 1983) came third. Frank O'Donnell (class of 1959) and Lorcan Tiernan (class of 1988) were also prize winners. The Golf Society is indebted to Milltown Golf Club for their courtesy and kind attention on the day.

The event was rounded off by a first class dinner held at the club and the participants were joined by old friends from the Vincentian Community in the College: Sam Clyne CM (President), Peter Slevin CM, John Doyle CM and Desmond MacMorrow CM whose name appears more than once on the beautiful cup, and by Mr Andrew McGeady (Headmaster) and Ms Ger Corrigan from the College.
