Fellow Past men,

I am both honoured and privileged to serve as President of your Union for 2013.

I will endeavour to continue the fantastic work of my recent predecessors who have prioritised revitalising the Union. It has become an excellent forum for past men of all generations to connect with others who share an enduring common bond.  In the present climate more than ever, making the connection could be invaluable and opportune.  This has been proved by the early success of our Mentoring programme initiated last year, which past men use for a multitude of reasons, be that as simple as getting a steer on a career choice, seeking a business opportunity or advice in relation to difficulties, whether they are financial or personal.

The events organised by the Union for 2013 will include all the traditional annual events such as the Business Lunch (March 8th so book online now), the Retreat on Good Friday, our summer Golf Outing which returns to Milltown, and the Annual Dinner.  Other events include the Munster Dinner, Veterans Tennis tournament and the Tag Rugby Blitz. There will also be a further two networking events due to the great success of the two held last year.

The committee and I would greatly appreciate your participation at one or more of these events and as this is the Year of the Gathering it would be fantastic if some of our overseas members could make it back which would make this events even more special. If you haven't done so already, you should sign up at KnockUnion and/or join our alumni groups on LinkenIn and Facebook, as that is the best way of staying in touch with news of upcoming events.
