Jude, son of Greville Miley, class ’97

Greville Miley, class ’97, was one of the happiest men alive when his son Jude was born happy and healthy on the 16th July 2011. That all changed 26th January 2012 when Jude suffered catastrophic brain damage due to complications following a routine operation. Greville and his wife, Ann-Louise did not take this standing down and last year The Jude Miley Trust raised funds to send Jude to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. The medics there are astounded by the progress made, so much so that Jude who turned two in July, has begun to walk.

There is still a hard road ahead and Jude needs to go back to Chicago to continue his treatment. As part of the fund-raising effort, 15 September 2013 sees a 5/10k Fun Run organised for Marlay Park in Rathfarnham. It’s €20 to enter, and you'll find all the details at run4jude.
